Unions have improved the lives of millions of people, including those workers who are not unionized. Healthcare, retirement benefits, social services, you name it — the labour movement has pushed to expand it and protect it. Perhaps all of that is worth remembering at a time like this when
TTC union-bashing is in vogue. Make no mistake about it, the TTC has a serious customer-service problem. But customer service problems are always — always — management problems.
